Costa 0.6.0 is a very nicely-made GUI with many features. The desktop makes a return which was absent in the previous version I reviewed. The desktop acts like the Windows desktop, in the way that it reads files from the "DESKTOP" folder in the Costa directory. Shortcuts are not "LNK" files, but rather "CDL" files containing basic information such as the program to execute, arguments, an icon type, and the title of the link. Costa also has some neat scripts to demonstrate how well the Costa scripting engine works. A BETA script builder, which creates windows, is also useful in the creation of Costa Scripts (CSL). A VITAL NOTE TO ALL USERS OF COSTA IS THAT A FILE (CPATH.INI) MUST BE CREATED IN THE ROOT OF THE "C:\" WITH THE PATH OF COSTA IN IT (C:\COSTA\). Overall, the GUI is a very nice GUI to download. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quality GUI to run in FreeDOS or any DOS environment.
