FVIEW (as I'll call it) is a pretty amazing GUI demo. For one, it's made by Dick who also made "Dick's GUI" (go figure) and thus implements fast ASM subroutines. One of which is the file listing feature which does not utilize the SHELL sub in QB nor creates a listing file on disk.
Not entirely sure whether it's a GUI in and of itself or whether it's just a demo, but when you double-click on certain files in the list box, they appear as windows which contain the contents of the file. The windows can be dragged and multiple windows can be opened on several different files. There are a lot of neat features about this and all the source code is less than 7 KB.
